Eldon Miller stared at the dizzying array of printers on the shelf in front of him. The salesman beside him was talking, but Eldon was too overwhelmed by all of the equipment in front of him to listen. Why did some printers cost three times more than others of the same size? How much would they cost in the long run? How long would they last?

He had come to the store to buy a new printer, which was the only solution anyone could suggest for his problem.
Just yesterday, he’d tried printing a sheet of address labels to test the placement of the addresses on the page. The sheet was crinkled, and two labels disappeared from the page, stuck somewhere in the hungry printer’s recesses. Now the subsequent prints, copies, and faxes came out of his printer with two smudged areas that looked suspiciously label-shaped.
Feeling confused by all his printer choices, Eldon thanked the salesman for his time and left the office supply store. He called his secretary, Roberta, and asked her to contact Think Ink to do some printer research, explaining what had happened with the labels.
When he got to the office, he was pleased to see a note on his desk in Roberta’s neat handwriting.

Eldon’s eyes widened. A $1600 printer for his small business? His mind raced. It would be nice to have a printer like that, but was it worth it?
His frugal nature made him want to take the “cheap” route again, but he could see from the notes that within a few months he’d have spent so much on toner that he might as well have bought a far better machine. Not to mention the risk of an unrepairable printer getting an appetite for stickers again!
For once, Eldon was looking at more printer answers than options. Happy for the clarity, he picked up the phone to call Think Ink.
